SYLVIE FRÉCHETTE, OLYMPIC MEDALIST, LAUNCHES THE HEALTHY AGING GRAND WALK AT JAZZ DRUMMONDVILLE

On June 7 was launched, at the JAZZ Drummondville residence, the fourth edition of the Healthy Aging Grand Walk, as part of the AZUR Games.

This popular activity, which was developed by the AZUR network, encourages AZUR residents to count their steps in order to fulfill a predetermined virtual itinerary. This year, over 1,500 residents will join in!

On the first day of this year’s event, Sylvie Fréchette joined the symbolic walk. Over 200 participants joined her for a 750-m distance.

The Jazz Drummondville choir offered quite a performance by singing the Azur anthem. This song has been composed especially for AZUR residences by Mrs. Marylène Cousineau, Director of the popular “Jeune de Chœur” choir.

Mrs. Fréchette has generously given a medal to all participants, to thank them for their involvement in the AZUR Games.
