Who can you trust with caring for your feet?
Several specialists offer foot care services. However, you must know how to choose the right professional for each condition. Here is some useful information;
The foot care nurse is assigned to patients with foot abnormalities or who have an infection, disease or foot injury. The nurse is not authorized to diagnose or prescribe medications, but he or she can apply dressings, perform massages and treat minor ailments and injuries (corns, warts, etc.).
The podiatrist or foot care hygienist provides basic care for ingrown toenails, corns and calluses, as well as cutting and filing nails. He or she cannot diagnose or treat a foot problem of a medical nature.
To make an appointment or for more information, do not hesitate to contact the receptionist at your residence’s Multi-Service Centre.
