17th Edition – April 13, 2020

Dear Residents,

Here is your daily update!

Your apartment is your best security! Remain with us, stay at home.

2. Resident isolation and confinement

As you are well aware, a great deal is being said in the news and social media about the spread of COVID-19 in retirement homes.

We wish to remind you about the following measures that we have taken to ensure that the virus does not strike us:

  • A special team to continuously disinfect the building;
  • Safety measures at the entrance of every visitor;
  • Monitoring of all outside trips to prevent community-based contamination;
  • Social distancing measures;
  • Cleaning of all packages coming into the residence, including foodstuffs.

What will happen if a positive case is detected among our residents? That resident will be transferred to a hospital. If he or she shares an apartment with others, those individuals will undergo a 14-day-isolation period. We will visit those people twice daily to take their temperature and look for other possible symptoms to ensure that no other case appears.

Residents living on the same floor as the confirmed COVID-19 patient will be placed in 14-day isolation. They will receive two daily visits to take their temperature and ensure that the virus has not taken hold.

All other residents will be placed in confinement, which means that they will have to remain in their apartment without being subject to any other means of verification.

Meals will be brought free of delivery charges to those who have meals included in their lease or those who wish to have meals delivered to their apartment.

2. In-home entertainment

We understand that this is a very difficult time and that the isolation weighs heavily on your morale. We invite you to participate in the activities proposed by the entertainment department. You can enjoy yourself in these challenging times. If you have any entertainment ideas, please share them! Together, we can ensure that the environment remains enjoyable and entertaining for each and every one of us.
